This week, Adam Young took us into John 6, where Jesus declares, “I am the bread of life.” After feeding the five thousand and walking on water, crowds continued searching for Jesus, hoping for more signs and more physical provision. But Jesus pointed them toward something deeper. True life is not found in temporary things that fade, but in Him alone.

Adam reminded us that just as bread is made from many ingredients brought together, the Church is made up of many different people, gifts, personalities, and stories. Yet it is Jesus who brings everything together and gives it purpose. Without Him, we remain disconnected pieces. But through the power of the Holy Spirit, He forms something life-giving that nourishes both us and the world around us.

We were encouraged to feed daily on the presence and word of God, to trust that He sustains us in every season, and to continue speaking the name of Jesus to others even when we cannot immediately see the outcome. God works through ordinary people and ordinary conversations to draw hearts toward Himself.

Jesus is not simply an addition to life. He is the source of life itself. The true bread from heaven who satisfies hungry hearts, gives eternal life, and holds us together in every season.
