Truth is one of the most debated ideas in our world. Everyone has an opinion, a perspective, or a version of what they believe is true. But standing before Pilate, Jesus made a very different claim.
This week, Pastor Jeff took us into John 18, where Jesus is arrested, questioned, and put on trial. Surrounded by betrayal, fear, and mounting pressure, Jesus never wavered. When Pilate asked, "What is truth?" Jesus had already given the answer: "I am the way, the truth and the life." Truth is found in the person of Jesus.
Pastor Jeff reminded us that while Peter shrank back in fear, denying he even knew Jesus, Christ remained steadfast. In the face of rejection and suffering, He continued to bear witness to the truth, revealing the character of God's Kingdom. His courage challenges us to consider how we respond when we have opportunities to speak about the hope we have found in Him.
We were encouraged not to argue people into faith or simply tell them how they should live, but to testify to what Jesus has done in our own lives. The Gospel is good news because it is personal. We have met the King, experienced His love, and discovered a hope that cannot be shaken.
