There is something deeply attractive about a community that genuinely loves one another. It is the kind of love that makes people stop, take notice, and want to be part of it.
This week, Pastor Jeff took us into John 17, Jesus' final prayer before the cross. As He prayed to the Father, Jesus revealed His vision for the Church. A people marked by joy, holiness, and protection, but above all, by a deep and lasting unity that reflects the very relationship between the the Trinity.
Jesus prayed that His followers would be one, just as He and the Father are one. This unity is far more than simply getting along or avoiding conflict. It is a shared life in Christ. As we abide in Him, we are drawn into God's love and become people who know how to forgive, reconcile, and walk together through every season.
Pastor Jeff reminded us that this kind of unity is one of the Church's greatest witnesses. Jesus didn't say the world would know Him by our arguments or achievements, but by the love that flows from lives transformed by Him. When we know we are deeply loved by God, that love naturally overflows into our relationships with one another, and the world begins to notice.
This message encouraged us to see the Church not simply as a place we attend, but as a family we belong to. A community united by the love of Christ, where we are shaped together, grow together, and become a living picture of the Gospel to the world.
