Jeff and Rowena Lloyd are the Senior Ministers and founders of Laneway Church, which they launched in 2007 with a simple dream: to build a church that’s vibrant, welcoming, and full of life (preferably with good coffee too!). They planted it while raising their four young boys - who are now mostly grown and serving in churches in other cities. Passionate about seeing people encounter Jesus in real and transformative ways, they love creating spaces where faith is lived out in community - whether that’s in a Sunday service, over a meal, or in the everyday moments of life. With hearts for Bathurst and beyond, they’re committed to leading a church where God’s love and grace aren’t just talked about but genuinely experienced.

Jeff is passionate about Jesus, his family, the local church, the Bathurst region, his dog Morris, and old French cars (mostly in that order!). He loves seeing people grow in faith and community. When he's not at church, he's busy training teachers in innovative education, which means he’s equally at home discussing theology or debating the best way to engage a classroom. He holds degrees in Science, Education, Leadership, and Theology and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Spiritual Formation and Discipleship - because apparently, he thought life wasn’t full enough!

Rowena is a qualified Landscape Architect with a knack for creating both beautiful gardens and thriving church communities. As co-leader of Laneway Church, she keeps the day-to-day operations running smoothly and preaches whenever she can wrestle the mic from Jeff! She also teaches Scripture in a local public school, sharing God’s love with the next generation. To sharpen her ability to communicate the Word, Rowena is completing a Master’s in Biblical Studies alongside a cohort of fellow C3 pastors and leaders. In her downtime, you’ll find her enjoying classical music or mastering the viola - why not add another challenge to the mix? She and Jeff love being part of the vibrant Bathurst community and helping others feel at home in it too.
